as easy as a-b-c, 1-2-3, do-re-mi

isaac and me rockin the summer of 1982. this is the only photo that i have from my years on the farm. i was still just a kid myself and isaac was 2 in this photo. isaac has always been the embodiment of his name. in hebrew, it's "smile," "laughter."

oh man. michael jackson's beat stopped this afternoon. you know, besides my memories of spinning in the playroom of 2 maplewood road, loving when the Jackson 5 were on American Bandstand, watching the Jackson 5 cartoon on Saturday mornings, and keeping every one of their 45s in the stack on my spindle- besides that- the physical and sense memory is so vivid, those days of late '82 and on- loving the way that my two year old loved the music too, oh man did he love the album Thriller. Was and still is the best-selling album of all time. isaac and his playskool turntable, he wore out more than one needle on that vinyl, knew all the words, sang and danced for hours, just two kids playing records, me and isaac.

don't stop till you get enough, isaac.
